FAQs
What is Pranayama?
Pranayama is the yogic practice of controlling the breath. In our online class, we use these techniques to move energy throughout the body, calm the mind, and prepare the spirit for deeper meditation.
Do I need a special cushion to participate?
No. While a meditation cushion (Zafu) is helpful, you can participate effectively while sitting in a sturdy chair or on a folded blanket. The most important thing is that your spine is upright and comfortable.
I have a hard time sitting still. Is this class for me?
Yes! This class is designed to teach you how to sit still. We use the breath (Pranayama) as a bridge to help the body settle before we enter into meditation, making the stillness much more accessible.
