Restorative Yoga Class Details

By joining us in-studio for Restorative Yoga, you engage in a passive healing process that targets the parasympathetic nervous system:

  • The Environment: Practice in our serene, candle-lit sanctuary. The quiet, private nature of our studio is specifically curated to help you “unplug” from the outside world.
  • Total Support: We utilize an array of props—including bolsters, blankets, and blocks—to fully support your body so your muscles can completely let go.
  • Mindful Stillness: Each pose is held for 5 to 10 minutes, allowing for a deep state of meditation and a gentle opening of the connective tissues.
  • Guided Relaxation: Instructors provide calming breathwork (Pranayama) and visualization techniques to help guide your mind away from daily stressors.
  • The Pace: Expect a very slow, floor-based practice with minimal transitions, focusing on comfort and ease.

Registration Process:

Register ahead of time directly on this class page. Payment for the class can be submitted through the online registration process to secure your spot. Drop-ins are also welcome, and payment can be submitted at the studio.

Is the Restorative Yoga Class available online?

Yes! The Restorative Yoga Class is held live online via Zoom and follows the same class schedule as the in-studio classes. Sign up for Online Restorative Yoga here.

Do I need to be flexible for this class?

Not at all. Restorative Yoga is accessible to every body type and fitness level. Since the props do the work of holding you up, no flexibility or strength is required to enjoy the full benefits.
