Stefan Storace was born and raised in Los Angeles and was formally trained and received his first yoga certification from the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara, CA. He has been studying martial arts since the age of 8 and has a black belt in Tang So Doo. Over the years he has attended several workshops, retreats and trainings including Vipassana meditation courses. He also completed a second teachers-training program with Erich Schiffmann in December 2002. Most recently he completed his third advanced teachers training with Rod Stryker and is currently working towards a Para Yoga certification. He has been studying Chi Kung and Tai Chi privately with Matthew Cohen of Sacred Energy Arts since January 2005.
When one of the masters of Kirtan Jai Uttal arrived in town Stefan jumped at the opportunity to study and learn more about the harmonium and mantras. He loves to play the harmonium in his yoga class, which is one of many instruments in his repertoire.
Stefan began his yoga journey more than 10 years ago when a fellow musician friend brought him to his first Yoga class. Physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally the yoga practice and lifestyle totally transformed his life from the inside out. His goal has been to heal, inspire, and teach yoga to anyone and everyone who is interested in this dynamic practice.
In 1999, Live Yoga Productions was born that has led to live yoga audio CD’s with Bryan Kest: Live in Santa Monica-All levels, Spinal Strengthening, Advanced 2 and Long, Slow & Deep. He has also recorded and worked with Erich Schiffmann, Govindas and Matthew Cohen and serval other amazing teachers in the United States.
Stefan has had the opportunity to work hands on with spiritual healers, yoga teachers, and meditation groups. “I am dedicated and committed to spiritual growth and continue to read, study and learn so I can expand my knowledge of yoga and life. My classes are fun, challenging, and filled with philosophy and wisdom”.
My classes are taught in the Hatha style with a bit of a twist, incorporating a blend of Yoga, Chi Kung and Tai Chi with emphasis on breath and alignment. All my classes provide a healing quality as well as an “out of the box style” for students looking to deepen his or her practice. Please bring an open mind and heart.
