Rebecca Lascoe came to yoga 15 years ago when a fitness instructor suggested that she learn how to breathe while excercising. She began her practice with an Iyengar yoga teacher and has been studying this style of yoga ever since. Iyengar Yoga emphasizes correct alignment in the poses, which can be achieved through the use of props: straps, blocks, blankets, etc. This approach builds strength, balance and flexibility and allows increased ability for students to focus and observe.
Rebecca has been teaching since 2006. She received her Yoga Alliance Teacher Certification in December of 2007 through Westlake Yoga Studio. She is currently receiving further training with Anna Delury, a Senior Level Certified Iyengar Teacher. She also attends classes and workshops from various certified Iyengar teachers and instructors who teach other styles of yoga.
Rebecca brings a unique perspective to her Yoga Fundamentals class at Garden of Yoga where she has been taking classes from Diana and Stefan for the past several years.
